In the form of a several-day workshop in Radom, Poland, Piotr Wysocki and Dominik Jałowiński organized a meeting between two groups in permanent conflict: traceurs (practitioners of parkour) and the police opposing them. These acrobatic teenagers perceive forgotten, disregarded urban areas as training grounds, and overwrite the rigid customs and rules of public spaces as they embrace their freedom, jump over fences, run up walls, and cross the city insanely fast, spinning in the air, constantly looking for new tricks. Although not illegal, what they do is considered wrongful; still, the bluecoats responsible for public order are mostly powerless against them.

During the workshop, the two groups joined their talents to achieve a common goal, the creation of a choreography to which both parties contributed with what they were best at; the police with getting in formation, the traceurs with acrobatics. Disagreements once considered fundamental were now questioned, everyday routines were put aside; policemen got leave from functional discipline, teenagers got an invitation to leave the urban warfare behind.

Workshop locations have symbolic meanings; the sports center, still unfinished after 30 years, is evidence of the disintegration of a community forged by the state, while the Łucznik munitions factory served as a focal point during the 1976 workers’ protest. The city of Radom played a significant role in the uprising brutally quelled by the authorities.
